ANKARA - Turkey will not assume any disarmament mandate in Lebanon, said Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Before participating in the group meeting of his Justice & Development Party (AKP) at the parliament, Erdogan reiterated, "we will be there only for peace-keeping."
Erdogan said, "we will not take place in such a disarmament campaign. We will be there to contribute to infrastructural and other projects, and help reconstruction works."
PM Erdogan added that the government will discuss necessary steps to be taken with the General Staff after the memorandum is passed (from the parliament).
