-FIVE WOMEN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

ANKARA - Police detained five women as they held an illegal demonstration in front of the Turkish parliament on Monday to protest Council of Ministers` principle decision on dispatching troops to Lebanon.
Sources said that two of those five women who were members of "Halkevleri", a civil organization, protested the decision by chanting slogans in front of the gate of the Turkish parliament.
Meanwhile, the remaining three women tried to chain themselves to the railings of the Naval Forces Headquarters across the gate of the Turkish parliament.
All five women were taken into police custody and their questioning is underway.
