ISTANBUL - Information & Communication Technologies Fair (CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia) will open at Istanbul`s Tuyap Fair and Congress Center on Tuesday.
Nearly 900 firms from 19 countries will take part in this year`s fair.
The 2006 fair will boast a total exhibition area of 26 thousand square meters divided into three main sectors: business world, digital life and telecommunications.
Safak Alpay, director-general of the Hannover Fairs Corp, said that commerce delegations from 11 countries would come to Istanbul to visit the fair.
"We expect nearly 160 thousand people from 70 countries to visit the fair at which 350 new products will be displayed," he said.
Alpay noted that three leading GSM operators in Turkey (Turkcell, Telsim and Avea) would take part in this year`s fair side by side for the first time.
The fair will remain open till September 10th.
