NANTONG - "Turkish contractors can have prominent joint projects with their Chinese counterparts," Turkish Minister of Public Works and Housing Faruk Nafiz Ozak said on Sunday.
Minister Ozak underlined that Turkish and Chinese contractors can work together in the Middle East, Northern Africa and Turkic republics of Central Asia. "Chinese construction companies are interested in doing business in Turkey," noted Ozak.
Ozak and his delegation left Shanghai this morning and proceeded to Nantong city of Jiangsu state. Ozak visited the Sutong bridge whose construction is still going on.
Ozak is scheduled to meet the Chinese Minister of Transportation Li Shengling in Beijing on Monday.
Ozak and his delegation will depart from Beijing for Turkey on September 5th.
Meanwhile, Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen and a delegation of 100 Turkish businessmen will pay a visit to China later this month at a formal invitation by Chinese Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai.
"We are going to start a new commercial term with China. We want to implement a win-win strategy in our trade relations with China," stressed Tuzmen.
