ANKARA - Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan said on Monday that there were no problem with International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Unakitan, State Minister Ali Babacan, Treasury Undersecretary Halil Ibrahim Canakci, Finance Undersecretary Hasan Basri Aktan and bureaucrats of Treasury, Finance Ministry and State Planning Organization held an evaluation meeting at Finance Ministry.
Replying to questions of reporters after the meeting, Unakitan said that meetings with IMF were continuing and there were no problems between sides regarding tax incitements.
Babacan also replied to questions of reporters. When asked whether IMF loan was delayed or not, Babacan said that he would not make any statement during review activities. He added that when Sixth Review ended, he would make necessary statements.
Upon a question whether meetings would end this week, Babacan said that it could end, but it was not certain.
