ISTANBUL - Nearly 30 people who wanted to enter Turkey at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport were detained on Friday by Turkish and British policemen upon the suspicion that those people could be ''hooligans''.
Turkish and British policemen who are working together on passport control point at international lines terminal of the airport, control passengers who want to enter the country with British passports.
Police detained nearly 30 people whom they suspected that they could be hooligans.
Officials said that those detained people could return back to their countries after completion of required procedures.
British police meanwhile question the people whom they have suspected at passport control point, and shoot their video images.
Turkish and British national soccer teams will have a match in Istanbul in the 12th European Championship on Saturday.
