ANKARA - Justice and Development Party (AK Party) parliamentarians Turhan Comez and Cevdet Erdol will go to Iraq on Monday to attend groundbreaking ceremony of a hospital in Baghdad.
Comez told A.A correspondent on Friday that he, Erdol and a delegation comprised of 17 people would leave Ankara for Iraq on Monday.
They would attend groundbreaking ceremony of a hospital in Baghdad on October 17, Comez said.
Comez noted that initiatives were launched to announce Iraqi cities and Turkish cities as ''sister cities'' in order to form a new bridge of friendship with Iraq.
They would stop by Kirkuk when returning from Baghdad to Turkey, Comez said.
Comez stated that the aid package of Red Crescent consisted of 2 thousand tents, 25 thousand blankets, 2 thousand stoves, 8 thousand mattresses and food for 5 thousand families would be sent in coming days.
Noting that Turkey would extend some more food assistance to Iraqi people or form a mobile kitchen during the holy month of Ramadan, Comez called on non-governmental organizations in Turkey to extend a helping hand to friend and sister Iraqi people.
