SHANGHAI - Turkish Public Works and Housing Minister Faruk Ozak visited the 32.5 kilometers long Donghay Bridge in Shanghai today as part of his formal visit to China.
Minister Ozak received information from Chinese officials on the Donghay Bridge, considered by experts to be one of the longest over sea bridges in the world. Aside from container traffic conducted on the bridge, the bridge serves in transferring water and electricity. Construction of the bridge cost 1.3 billion USD.
Ozak and his delegation later visited the Yangshan Deep Water Port Project's completed sections.
Ozak will visit the Runyang Bridge and museum on Sunday and proceed to Nanjing the same day.
