ANKARA - "The increase in Turkey's quota in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will make its growing global influence be better known by international decision making bodies," said Ali Babacan, Turkish State Minister and Chief Negotiator for EU talks, on Saturday.
According to Babacan, Turkey's increased quota will help Turkey have more say on global financial matters.
IMF increased Turkey's quota by 23.6 percent. Turkey's quota rose to 1.191,3 million SDR from former 964 million SDR.
