ANKARA - Turkish State Minister Ali Babacan will be on tour of the European Union next week and meet dignitaries in the Netherlands and Brussels.
On Tuesday, September 5th, Babacan will attend a breakfast hosted by the Dutch Confederation of Industrialists and Employers.
Babacan will meet former Dutch Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Laurens Jan Brinkhorst on Tuesday morning.
Ali Babacan will meet Dutch Economy Minister Joop Wijn and FM Bernard Bot on Tuesday. On Tuesday afternoon, Babacan is scheduled to meet Dutch Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Gerrit Zalm.
Babacan will be in Brussels on September 6th where he will meet Didier Donfut of the EU Affairs Desk of the Belgian Foreign Ministry.
On Thursday, September 7th, Babacan will attend a screening meeting on Jurisdiction and Basic Rights. Later, Babacan will meet Jan Figel, Commissioner for Education, Training, Culture and Multilingualism. Minister Babacan will meet Belgian FM Karel De Gucht and Olli Rehn, Commisioner in charge of EU Enlargement, on Thursday. On the same day, Babacan will meet Charlie McCreevy, Commissioner for Internal Market and Services, and Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Reynders. On Friday, Babacan will meet Michael Leigh, European Commission Director General of Enlargement. Babacan will depart from Brussels for Turkey on Friday.
