BURSA - Exports of automotive industrialists have reached 9.9 billion USD, a 15 percent increase, in the first 8 months of 2006, stated Uludag Exporters' Assembly (UIB) on Friday.
On the other hand, the export volume of the sector increased 44 percent to 989.9 million in August 2006.
Export rate in automotive sector decreased 9 percent in January, while increased 1.6 percent in February, 6 percent in March, 7 percent in April, 21 percent in May, 42 percent in June and 22 percent in July.
Turkey exported car industry products to 13 free zones and 165 countries, Italy being on the top of the list with 1.4 billion USD worth of products, followed by Germany, France, Britain and Spain.
