ANKARA - ''Turkish police have confiscated 600 kilograms of explosives since the beginning of this year'', said Ismail Caliskan, the spokesman of the Security Dept.
Referring to fight against terrorism in his weekly press briefing, Caliskan noted that the authors of last year's terrorist attack in (Aegean town of) Kusadasi were under arrest. He also said that efforts are under way to capture the assailants of the Antalya and Marmaris bombings.
"Meanwhile, six members of the terrorist organization (PKK) have been detained in (Aegean city of) Izmir with several explosives. Turkey continues its fight against terrorism with determination. It is obvious that terrorism has no limits, and every country can be a target. What is important is that all countries fight (against terrorism)," he stated.
"Tourist resorts in our country have no security problems. We have tightened measures in holiday resorts to ensure our citizens and foreign guests to spend their vacation in peace," Caliskan added.
