ANKARA - Total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks increased 494 million U.S. dollars to 66 billion 975 million U.S. dollars between September 19-26, 2003.
According to Central Bank's provisional statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 66 billion 481 million U.S. dollars on September 19.
Foreign exchange deposits increased 212 million U.S. dollars to 51 billion 57 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Total internal foreign exchange deposits increased 160 million U.S. dollars to 48 billion 721 million U.S. dollars while external foreign exchange deposits increased 52 million U.S. dollars to 2 billion 337 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market increased 41 million U.S. dollars to 570 million U.S. dollars.
Foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts increased 291 million U.S. dollar to 16 billion 209 million U.S. dollars between September 26 and October 3, 2003.
