ADANA - A group of people held a demonstration to protest the motion on dispatch of soldiers to Iraq in front of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Adana branch office on Thursday. Totally 11 people were detained.
Police warned the group not to close road to traffic. The group later threw stones on policemen. Police deputy chief Abdullah Kok was injured in the incident.
A total of 11 people including Human Rights Association (IHD) Adana branch office director Huseyin Goren were detained.
An investigation is under way.
