THE HAGUE - The US military base at Schinnen in the Netherlands was sealed off Wednesday due to a "security incident", a local police spokesman told AFP.
"Base personnel alerted the police that a security incident took place near the base," said Frank van Veldhuizen, spokesman for Maastricht police, without elaborating on the nature of the incident.
"The base and the surrounding area have been sealed off."
