IZMIR - A total of 47 foreigners who were trying to pass to Greek islands illegally were caught in Cesme town of western Izmir province on Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, gendarme teams wanted to control the passports of foreigners walking as a group in Ildýrý region. Gendarme caught 13 Chinese, ten Bangladeshis, nine Somalis, six Pakistanis, four Mauritanians, three Moroccans, one Iranian and one Syrian who didn't have passports.
The foreigners who illegally entered Turkey and who came to Cesme to proceed to Greek islands, were detained.
