ANKARA - The government does not have any concerns about adoption of the motion on sending Turkish troops to Lebanon, Turkish Justice Minister & government spokesman Cemil Cicek said today.
After the meeting of government members and the (ruling) Justice & Development Party (AKP) executives in Ankara, Cicek told reporters that the government will submit a petition to the Office of the Parliament Speaker on Thursday (August 31st), calling on the parliament for an extraordinary session (on September 5th) in which dispatch of Turkish troops to Lebanon will be debated.
Cicek refrained from detailing the structure of Turkish troops to be sent to Lebanon, but said, ''what is important is Turkey's contribution.''
