MALATYA - Security forces impounded 35 kilograms of heroin in an operation in the southeastern city of Malatya on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, security forces stopped and searched an automobile, which was on its way from the neighboring city of Hakkari to Istanbul.
During the search, they found 35 kg of heroin cached in the vehicle.
Two people were detained in connection with illicit drug trafficking.
