MARMARIS - British Ambassador to Turkey Peter Westmacott expressed his pleasure with efforts of Turkish authorities who treated the tourists who were injured in yesterday's explosions in Turkish holiday resort of Marmaris.
Westmacott visited six Britons who were hospitalized in Marmaris after the blasts.
He said that none of the British tourists were in life-threatening condition.
Westmacott thanked Turkish authorities for their sincere interest.
He is expected to visit four other British tourists, who were taken to another hospital in the town, later in the day.
Three blasts occurred in the southern coastal area of Marmaris on Sunday injuring 22 people. 10 British nationals were among the injured.
Marmaris, on the Mediterranean south coast of Turkey, about 480 kilometers south of Istanbul, is one of Turkey's biggest holiday resorts and is popular with British tourists. Almost 1.8 million British tourists visited Turkey in 2005.
