German Ambassador To Turkey Born Says Violence In Middle East Should End

IZMIR - German Ambassador to Turkey Wolf-Ruthors Born said on Wednesday that violence in the Middle East should end.
Born, who is currently in Izmir to attend the third German Business Development Day organized by Aegean Free Zone Management Inc. (ESBAS), replied to questions of reporters after visiting Izmir Governor Yusuf Ziya Goksu.
Upon a question on Israel's air strike on a target in Syria, Born said that suicide bombings were very radical and stated that those actions should be stopped as soon as possible and there should be peace in the region. Born added that violence in the Middle East should end.
Upon another question on Turkey's sending soldiers to Iraq, Born said that it was an ''independent decision'' which was taken by the Turkish government with the parliament and stated that he believed that Turkey would do its utmost on settlement of peace and reconstruction of Iraq.
Born later met with Izmir Deputy Mayor Yusuf Ali Karaman and said that he was in Izmir for development of economic relations between the two countries.
