KARACHI - Pakistani entrepreneurs will buy textile machines from Turkey.
State Minister Kursad Tuzmen, heading a group of businessmen during their visit to Pakistan, met with Pakistani Minister of Commerce Humayun Akhtar on Wednesday.
Pakistani Minister of Communication Ali Ahmad also attended the meeting.
Sides decided that Turkey would sell textile machines to Pakistan in the meeting.
A Pakistani delegation will visit Turkey on October 20. High-level contracts on the sale of Turkish textile machines are expected to be signed during this visit.
Meanwhile, Tuzmen, Akhtar and Ahmad opened the Second Turkish Export Products Fair in Karachi.
Speaking in the inauguration ceremony, Tuzmen said that commercial relations between two countries did not reflect the real potential.
Tuzmen noted that his contacts in Pakistan were fruitful and they solved many problems.
A Pakistani delegation would come to Istanbul on October 20 to start initiatives to reduce customs duties, Tuzmen stated.
Akhtar said that they held meetings on preferential trade agreement with Turkey this year, stressing that they debated establishment of a joint investment and marketing company.
