ISTANBUL - Turkish police detained 3 PKK terrorists in an operation in Istanbul, sources said on Tuesday.
9.2 kg plastic explosives were seized in the houses rented by the terrorists.
A statement by the anti-terrorism squad spokesman told that the terrorists were identified as Hasan K., Ferhat D., and Zahide K.
The statement indicated that 2 of the terrorists were trained in PKK camps in northern Iraq on how to make explosives, and arrived in Istanbul to wage attacks.
Meanwhile, Fatma Temel, another PKK terrorist, was arrested in Istanbul.
