ANKARA - National Education Minister Huseyin Celik will go to the United States on Wednesday to give a conference on cultural diversity and education in global world.
Celik will join the conference to be held at John Carroll University in Ohio on October 9.
National Education Minister Celik will stress meaning of cultural diversity and emphasize that cultures and identities can be a threat for the society in case they are not interpreted and perceived right.
In his speech, Celik will give Ottoman era as a concrete example of co-existence since Ottoman Empire was a multi-cultural and multi-national state and say that this understanding still continues in Turkey.
Celik will visit Kent State University in Ohio and listen to problems of Turkish students.
National Education Minister Celik will return to Turkey on October 12.
