ISTANBUL - Formula One`s leading drivers were scheduled to meet and discuss the issue of performance-enhancing drugs in their sport on Friday.
Grand Prix Drivers Association director David Coulthard said that he wanted the matter sorted out at the F1 drivers` briefing in Turkey, which was due to take place on Friday afternoon.
"It`s something that people bring up every now and again, but I don`t see the point as I don`t think there is a problem with drugs," he said.
Drivers are required to submit random urine samples, but increasingly sophisticated doping has raised doubts about F1`s drug testing programme.
Australian Mark Webber said: "I would be highly surprised if anyone is doing anything, apart from a few Foster`s here and there.
"But it is a professional sport and you should always cover all bases. I am not trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, but why not more testing?"
