ANKARA - Justice and Development Party (AK Party) group meeting, during which the motion on sending soldiers to Iraq was discussed, has ended.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan wanted deputies to support the motion.
Recalling that AK Party had not taken group decision since it was formed, Erdogan said that he was expecting the whole group to vote in favor of the motion.
Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul gave technical information about the ongoing negotiations with the United States and the current situation during the meeting.
Group decision was not taken during the meeting and a proposal was prepared to hold closed session for negotiations in the general assembly.
