Erdogan: Turkey Is No Longer A Country Which Is Questioned In E.U.

ANKARA - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that Turkey was no longer a country which was questioned in EU, but it became a country which was supported and appreciated by EU.
Erdogan noted that they would launch efforts to reach one digit inflation figure in the year 2004.
Addressing the parliamentary group meeting of AK Party, Erdogan gave information about the EU meeting he attended in Rome.
Recalling that they participated in the EU Intergovernmental Conference with Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul between 3-4 October, Erdogan said that his contacts with EU heads of states and governments were very beneficial.
Erdogan said that Turkey attended the conference just like member states, adding that they had the opportunity to explain their views about the draft in a clear way. ''We explained the progress we recorded on the EU process. This good table should not drift us to lassitude. We have so many things to do as the legislative and executive. We adopted the EU adjustment law, and we also have to implement it. I believe that we will reach this target.''
