ANKARA - Iraqi Patriotic Union for Kurdistan (IPUK) leader Jalal Talabani will come to Turkey soon.
During the contacts of IPUK official Barham Saleh in Ankara, the wish of Talabani to visit Ankara also came to agenda.
Turkish side was also positive about that demand and studies started to determine a date.
Meanwhile Saleh asked for economic support from Turkey and demanded more Turkish businessmen to invest in the region. Barham Saleh said that they were also Iraqis and noted that Turkey should not make a discrimination against them.
Turkish side stressed that Turkey helped Iraq in economic aspect and Turkish businessmen increased their investments in the region, adding that Turkey didn't show any discrimination against Iraqi Kurds.
Barham Saleh also asked Turkey's contribution to the political structure in Iraq, adding that they saw Turkey as a model country in that aspect.
Turkish side noted that whatever the decision which the parliament would take about sending soldiers, Turkish soldiers would go to the region for peace and brotherhood. The Turkish side warned that if Turkish soldiers would be sent to the region, logistic support should be unproblematic.
