ANKARA - An attack was staged on Monday on a refinery in the south of Iraqi capital Baghdad, injuring many people including Turkish lorry drivers.
Sources said that around 4 thousand people attacked on the refinery due to an unknown reason and many lorry drivers were injured in the attack.
The sources noted that many lorries were damaged in the attack.
There was not any clear information about whether or not any people died in the attack.
Turkish officials have not yet received any clear information about number of Turkish drivers who are injured and their state of health.
After the news on attack was received, Turkish Embassy in Baghdad have contacted officials of Iraqi interim governing council and asked them to take necessary measures.
