ANKARA - National athletes Halil Akkas and Nevin Yanit of Turkey will represent their country in 2 significant competitions in Europe, sources said on Monday.
Akkas, who displayed a good performance in European Track and Field Events, will compete in Golden League competition to be held in Brussels on August 25th. He will compete in 5000 meters in Van Damme Memorial, which is the 5th round of Golden League.
Akkas and Yanit will later join Grand Prix of Zagreb on August 31st, which will be held in Croatian capital.
In Grand Prix, Akkas will compete in men 3000 meters and Yanit will compete in women 100 meters hurdles.
