ANKARA - World Bank Director to Turkey Andrew Vorkink said on Monday that local administrations reform was very important for Turkey.
Vorkink attended an international meeting on ''Local Administrative Reforms in Public Management Reform Process'' organized by World Bank Institute and local administrations at Ankara's Dedeman Hotel.
Vorkink emphasized the necessity of infrastructure for the development of tourism and private sector. He said that financial arrangements were necessary for better and more transparent local administrations and this was also significant for the increase in income.
Noting that local administrations had more responsibility for increasing the services, Vorkink wished the meeting to be beneficial in this aspect as well.
