ISTANBUL - Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, who is currently in Istanbul as the guest of Istanbul Municipality, visited Topkapi Palace and had a tour on Istanbul Strait on Sunday.
Prince Abdulaziz met with Mayor Ali Mufit Gurtuna in a luncheon.
Prince Abdulaziz later visited Topkapi Palace and received information from officials about the museum.
Replying to questions of reporters, Abdulaziz said that Saudi businessmen had a big foreign investment potential and noted that they wanted to make investments in Turkey.
Stating that he had opportunity to get information about investment opportunities in Turkey, Abdulaziz said that Gurtuna and he discussed investments which Saudi businessmen could make. He stated that when Gurtuna visited Saudi Arabia, they would have chance to discuss those issues in detail and added that no decision was taken during his meetings yet.
When asked how relations between the two countries would be affected if Turkey sent soldiers to Iraq, Prince Abdulaziz said that dispatch of soldiers to Iraq was a situation concerning balances and benefits of Turkey and added that it did not affect themselves.
Prince Abdulaziz later had a tour on Istanbul Strait.
