ROME - National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul has said that the government would act on dispatch of soldiers to Iraq according to the 92nd article of the Constitution.
Gonul chatted with reporters at Rome Pratica Di Mare Military Airport.
Upon a question on a motion concerning dispatch of soldiers to Iraq, Gonul said that a motion was out of question now. Stating that however the 92nd article of the Constitution was clear, Gonul said, ''the government will act on the issue according to the 92nd article of the Constitution.''
When asked whether or not the government would ask authority or permission, Gonul said, ''the government will act according to what the 92nd article of the Constitution says. It is wrong to focus on words. If it is to be submitted, it will comply with the 92nd article of the Constitution.''
