Higher Election Board Unanimously Rejects Applications For Cancellation Of November 3 Elections

ANKARA - Higher Election Board (YSK) on Saturday rejected applications to cancel the results of November 3 elections.
YSK issued a written statement after the meeting that lasted for 6.5 hours.
The statement said, ''YSK unanimously rejected applications demanding cancellation of results of general elections held on November 3, 2002.''
YSK Chairman Tufan Algan, members Seydi Yetkin, Cengiz Erdogan, Selahattin Celik, Kenan Atasoy and Yilmaz Derme voted for rejection of applications.
Deputy Chairman Ahmet Hamdi Unlu voted in favor of accepting the applications.
