ISTANBUL - Prime Minister Vladimir Spidla of Czech Republic said on Friday that Czech Republic accepted the idea to add PKK-KADEK to international terrorist organizations.
Holding a press conference after Turkish-Czech Business Council meting, Spidla said that his meetings in Turkey were held in a very friendly and positive atmosphere.
Spidla expressed pleasure to be the first Czech prime minister visiting Turkey and said that Czech Republic wanted to cooperate with Turkey.
His country was a leading country in energy sector, Spidla stated.
Spidla noted that security should be re-organized in the Near East and this view of Czech Republic was similar with that of Turkey.
His country and Turkey were of the same opinion on ensuring sovereignty of Iraqi people and Iraq's existence within its old borders, Spidla pointed out.
Spidla said that Czech Republic would be a full member of the European Union (EU) in 2004 and this situation would change bilateral relations. He hoped that this change would be positive.
Czech Prime Minister Spidla reiterated that his country approved Turkey's inclusion in the EU.
Two countries thought the same about terrorism which came onto agenda in their meetings with President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Spidla said.
Spidla noted that terrorism did not have a religion or ideology and stated that they should fight against international terrorism in a democratic way if necessary.
Czech Republic accepted the idea to add PKK-KADEK to international terrorist organizations, Spidla added.
