ANKARA - Parliamentary Constitution Commission Chairman Burhan Kuzu said on Thursday that Parliament's giving authority to government for sending Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) to another country was not against Constitution.
Kuzu told A.A corespondent that Article No. 92 of Constitution was not preventing the government from giving authority on this issue. Noting that there were such examples on Parliament's giving authority or permission to governments in the past, Kuzu said that both were done in the past and it was necessary to discuss how much true to put restrictions in an issue such as security.
Emphasizing that the Parliament had the right to take the authority back in case of government's misuse of authority, Kuzu said that the existence of such an authority was important.
