ANKARA - The number of foreign companies operating in Turkey reached 11,013 at the end of June 2006.
Turkish Treasury Undersecretariat released on Friday a bulletin on direct foreign investment figures.
According to the bulletin, these companies are operating in areas of manufacturing, real estate renting, textiles, chemical substances, food and beverages.
7,156 of these foreign companies have partners from EU countries.
On the other hand, Central Bank said that flow of foreign capital into Turkey rose 626.6 percent to 8.8 billion USD between January and June 2006 when compared to the same period last year.
