ISTANBUL - King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud of Saudi Arabia called on Turkish and Saudi businessmen to invest in joint projects.
Taking the floor at the meeting which was jointly held by the Union of Chambers & Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) in Istanbul on Thursday, King Abdullah recalled that more than 50,000 Saudi tourists visited Turkey last year. He added that there are many Turks who are working in Saudi Arabia as well. King Abdullah noted that they expect Turkish businessmen to undertake projects in construction sector in his country.
''According to figures of 2005, the trade volume between Turkey and Saudi Arabia was nearly 3 billion USD'', King Abdullah noted.
He said that Turkey and Saudi Arabia will further develop bilateral relations through fairs & mutual visits of ministers and commerce delegations.
