ISTANBUL - ''Saudi-German Hospital plans to establish a health center in Istanbul with a total investment of 1.3 billion USD'', the hospital's top executive Makarem S. Batterjee said on Thursday.
After a luncheon hosted by Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) in honor of Turkish and Saudi businessmen at Ciragan Palace in Istanbul, Batterjee noted that hospital executives have been holding talks with Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his government on construction of the center.
Stating that the center would comprise 15 hospitals, schools of medicine, fitness saloons and a health spa in the center, Batterjee indicated that the project would also help to the promotion of medical tourism in Turkey.
Batterjee added that the health center would employ 30,000 workers mostly from Turkey, as well from Middle East and European countries.
