ANKARA - Turkish Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc will leave for Syrian capital Damascus on August 12th.
Arinc will attend the first extraordinary meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Inter-Parliamentary Union.
Arinc, who holds the rotating presidency of the union, will make opening remarks of the meeting between August 13th and 14th.
Earlier, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Niabih Berri asked members of the union to hold an extraordinary meeting to discuss the recent Israeli offensive against Palestine and Lebanon.
