ANKARA - U.S. Ambassador in Ankara Eric Edelman said on Wednesday that Turkey and the United States were expected to reach a common concept for solution after the talks which was started for elimination of terrorist PKK-KADEK organization from north of Iraq between the two countries.
Edelman attended a reception held on the occasion of opening of New Legislative Year.
Edelman told reporters that the first round of Turkey-U.S. talks on terrorism was very beneficial and stated that both sides exchanged views in detail. Edelman said that new U.S. delegation came to Ankara with more ideas.
Stating that he believed that the two sides would work together for solution to common problems, he reiterated that Washington was determined to remove terror threat.
Edelman said that U.S. soldiers had a tough mission in Iraq and stated that fight against terrorism was one of them.
Edelman said that although there was not a clarity concerning methods of fight, different methods including psychological war, tactics to destroy terrorist organization and military operation were on the agenda.
Stating that the following step would be clear after the end of second round of talks on terrorism which would be held between Turkey and the United States on Thursday, he said that they aimed to form a common concept for a solution.
Edelman added that process on the issue would continue between the two countries.
