Arinc: Approval Of Sentence Given To Four Former Dehap Administrators Will Not Affect Results Of November 3 Elections

ANKARA - Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc said on Wednesday that the decision on approval of sentence given to four former DEHAP administrators would not affect the results of November 3 elections. Upon questions on disputes on approval of sentence given to four former DEHAP administrators, Arinc said that those disputes were very wrong and stated that if there was a legal situation, a legal result would be found.
Arinc said, ''there are applications to the Higher Election Board (YSK). Those applications will be assessed and a conclusion will be reached.''
Noting that the parliament was formed after November 3 elections, Arinc said that there was not any shadow over the parliament.
Arinc said that the decision on approval of sentence given to four former DEHAP administrators would not affect the results of November 3 elections and added people would see the decision which would be taken by the YSK.
Arinc said that if the parliament had a duty on the issue, it would fulfil it.
When a reporter said that a motion would be prepared for sending Turkish Armed Forces' soldiers to Iraq, Arinc said, ''the parliament does not have a new motion on its agenda. We will discuss it when it is brought onto the agenda of the parliament.''
