President Sezer: We Believe That Problems With Greece Can Be Solved Through Dialogue

ANKARA - President Ahmet Necdet Sezer said on Wednesday that, ''we believe that problems with Greece could be solved through dialogue and without excluding any method of solution that will base on mutual consent.''
Sezer addressed Parliamentary General Assembly on the occasion of opening of New Legislative Year.
Sezer said Turkey, according to its traditional and peaceful foreign policy, was willing to continue bilateral relations with Greece, based on friendship and cooperation, as it did with all its neighbors.
Sezer said, ''we hope to overcome some problems, which obstructed improvement of relations between Turkey and Greece, that would share the same values and ideals within EU in the future.''
Sezer said, ''we believe that improvement of friendship relations between Turkey and Greece, on the basis of principles of respect and confidence, would have positive influences in our region. We are resolved to further improve dialogue process.''
Sezer said preservation of sovereignties, independence and territorial integrity of Balkan countries, integration of Balkan countries with European and European-Atlantic institutions on supremacy of law and democratic principles, were among the priorities of Turkish foreign policy.
