Five Historical Places From Turkey Included In List Of 100 Most Endangered Sites Of W.M.F.

NEW YORK - The World Monuments Fund (WMF) announced the list of 100 Most Endangered Sites. Five historical and archeological places from Turkey are included in the list.
New York-based WMF's list of 100 Most Endangered Sites included Temple of Augustus in Ankara, Kariye Museum and Little Hagia Sophia Mosque (Kucuk Ayasofya Camii) in Istanbul, Central Izmir Synagogues and Ephesus Archaeological Site.
WMF is the foremost private, non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of historic art and architecture worldwide through fieldwork, advocacy, grantmaking, education, and training.
Since 1965, the Fund has worked with local communities and partners to stem the loss of more than 400 irreplaceable sites in more than 80 countries.
