Turkey Exports 22 Thousand 427 Tones Of Hazelnut On Fourth Week Of Export Season

TRABZON - Turkey exported 22 thousand 427 tones of hazelnut in the fourth week of 2003-2004 hazelnut export season.
According to figures of Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters' Association, Turkey, which exports hazelnut nearly to 80 countries, obtained an income worth of 72 million 384 thousand 601 U.S. dollars by exporting 22 thousand 427 tones of hazelnut in the fourth week of 2003-2004 hazelnut export season.
Turkey exported 18.760 tones of hazelnut to the European Union (EU) countries, 2.285 tones of hazelnut to other European countries, 816 tones of hazelnut to overseas countries and 566 tones of hazelnut to other countries.
In the same period of the previous season, Turkey had exported 56 thousand 602 tons of hazelnut and obtained an income of 130 million 787 thousand 659 U.S. dollars.
