ANKARA - Labor Party (IP) applied on Tuesday to the Higher Election Board (YSK) for cancellation of November 3 elections and holding it again.
IP deputy leader Huseyin Karanlik who submitted their application to the YSK with his lawyers told reporters that Supreme Court of Appeals' approval of sentence given to former DEHAP leader Mehmet Abbasoglu and three former party administrators on charges of arranging counterfeit documents prior to the November 3 elections and attempting to show the party as if it had completed its legal formation proved that ballots were prepared illegally.
Karanlik added that November 3 general elections should be cancelled and it should be held again.
