MALATYA - Turkish gendarmery seized 9 kg heroin in an operation in eastern city of Malatya, it was reported on Sunday.
The gendarmery team, acting on a tip off that heroin would be brought from eastern city of Van to Istanbul, launched an operation and found the heroin in 19 packages, hidden in a car.
Driver of the car was arrested.
