ANKARA/SAKARYA - Israeli attacks on Lebanon and Palestine were condemned in protests in several Turkish cities on Friday.
Members of nongovernmental organizations gathered in Gar Square in northwestern city of Adapazari. Spokesman of the group said, ''Israel and the USA commit crimes against humanity in Palestine, Lebanon and Iraq. Israel completely ignores the war law.''
After chanting anti-Israeli slogans, the group dispersed peacefully.
On the other hand, a group from Social Democratic People's Party (SHP) gathered in Kalekapisi Square in southern city of Antalya to protest Israel and the USA.
SHP's Antalya office chairman Murat Ozdemir stated, ''American imperialism commits massacre in Lebanon.''
Similar protests also took place in southeastern cities of Kahramanmaras and Hakkari, and eastern cities of Bitlis and Kars.
