LEFKOSA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minister Dervis Eroglu said on Sunday that desire of Greek Cypriots was to erase Turkish people from Cyprus and to achieve ''Megali Idea'' (a concept of Greek nationalism expressing the goal of establishing a Greek state that encompasses all ethnic Greeks) and the aim of the European Union (EU) was to reach Mediterranean and control Middle East and Caucasia.
Making a speech in a meeting, Eroglu touched on the solution plan presented by the United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan and said that 55 thousand people would have to migrate due to the plan and it would make Turkish Cypriots minority by giving constitutional rights to them in ''Cyprus Republic Constitution.''
Eroglu stated that under the plan, Greek Cypriots would start to live among Turkish Cypriots and Turkey's guarantee on TRNC stemming from agreements would end.
Noting that there were some problems in TRNC as it happened in every country, Eroglu said that nobody should give up his state due to problems.
Eroglu said that they were in favor of accession to EU after a lasting agreement which would be made by taking into consideration the reality that TRNC state existed.
