BURSA - Exports by Turkish automotive industry rose 12.8 percent to 8.6 billion USD in the January-July period of 2006.
In the same period of previous year, total exports were 7.6 billion USD 5.5 billion USD.
Meanwhile, exports climbed 22 percent to 1.2 billion USD in July over to the same month last year.
The sector exported its products to 180 countries and autonomous regions as well as 13 free trade zones.
Italy, which was on the top of the list of those countries with exports of 1.3 billion USD, was followed by Germany, France, Britain and Spain.
