AH- Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, who is in Washington to participate in the 58th UN General Council gatherings said that, if the decision on dispatch of Turkish soldiers to Iraq was brought to the assembly, the facts lived on March 1, would not be repeated, he believed. He said, “The Justice and Development Party (AKP) group would support the government, whichever decision was taken.”
Gul said that, they gave importance to the UN decision about Iraq but there were other matters that Turkey should take into consideration.
Gul said about struggle against PKK/KADEK that, the negotiations were underway between Turkey and U.S. government; a delegation would come to Ankara from Washington next week to consider that matter. He said that, U.S. formed its policy on struggle against terrorism hence it had to struggle against PKK/KADEK.
